Good cajun spots in Houston

Going to be in H-town for a few days this weekend and was wondering if there's a good cajun spot in town, I'm assuming there is.
I live in the DFW area so I don't get that way very often. Any suggestions would be helpful!

There aren't.
We have great food here, but Cajun isn't part of it. Now if you're looking for just great food in general with a southern flare, I can recommend a couple places.

zydeco's is about the only thing that is good. It is more a plate lunch place.

Bummer.
I'm down for anything then. I'll be in the downtown area. What you know about places down there?

Isn't it crazy that a city of 4 million people that is ~2 hours from Cajun country doesn't have a good Cajun restaurant?

One of my buddies went there a couple nights ago and wasn't impressed. I haven't been but I've heard mixed reviews.

Dallas has a sizable amount of LSU alumni and maybe only one legit Cajun place.

There is this great place 200 miles east called Laffayette. Try someplace there.

Durham House is where I made a reservation. Awesome looking menu.

There is nothing I would consider "good" when it comes to Cajun food in Houston.
Why? I wondered that myself when I live there.
There are tons of Cajun places out there that are very successful and always crowded. So clearly, for the vast majority of the market, subpar is ok, but they probably don't know the difference.
If you find yourself in West Houston, Orleans Seafood Kitchen in Katy is probably the best you will find.
There is also a place in East Downtown called The Cajun Stop. It is run by a Vietnamese girl named Lisa who is absolutely smoking hot. She's from Houma I believe. They make a decent poboy and some of their lunch specials are ok. It used to be called Calliope's but they changed their name... but I'm not sure they ever changed their sign.

Check out Crawfish and Noodles. It's a Vietnamese place that does boiled crawfish and other seafood very legit along with vietnamese fare.
Also, while it isn't cajun, you should absolutely go to Mala Sichuan. Best authentic Chinese food ive ever had. Get the spicy crispy chicken, the red oil dumplings and the dandan noodles.

So many options. I'm there for three days for work (covering a baseball tournament at Minute Maid) so I'll have plenty of free time in-between games. Hoping to hit a few of these places up.

State of Grace is pretty good. Gorgeous inside, and loud.
I've only been once but want to go back. We ordered a bunch of the small plates to share-hot chicken, deviled crab, lobster hushpuppies, crab claws, and a couple desserts.
I want to go back for the State of Grace seafood tower...mighty impressive looking, and to actually try some of the entrees.
The crowd is full of shitheads though. One dicksmoker couldn't be bothered to walk across the parking lot to his Lambo, he insisted the valet drive it the 3 feet to him.
