Just read the last four pages. Particularly enjoyed the visual of the congressman that everyone recognized and lined up to kiss the ring.

What makes it funny is that I would bet my next paycheck 90% off most citizens wouldn’t recognize their senators or congressman if they literally ran into them on the street.

Went last night. Takeaways -

Service was great. Each table had 2 servers. Never waited on a drink.

Food was good. Burnt end app. was ok. Wasn't quite "burnt ends", more like beef tips. Tender but not what I expect from burnt ends. Would have liked to have seen chrisp outside when a caramelized glaze. Grill cheese dumplings were ok. 12 oz Filet med. rare was cooked perfectly. Wife had the lobster pasta. It was ok. Lobster was tough. Sauce bland. Red sauce at that. I suspect an Alfedo would pair better. Mac n cheese was pretty good. Rolls and butter were great. Butter cake for dessert was pretty good. Warm with ice cream on top.

Beer was cold. Had a few "Red" beers. Champagne was really good. Malbec was also good.

Atmosphere was definitely different than other expensive restaurants in BR. More upbeat than Ruths' if that's your thing. Looks like Landry definitely dropped some coin on the interior. However, it's very dark, hard to see actually. Servers walk you to the restroom because it's so dark. DJ wasn't overwhelming. You can still hear everyone at your table.

I will go back to try the A5 Wagyu. I didn't get it last night because I wanted to make sure they could cook a 12 oz filet before I paid that kind of coin for their Wagyu.

Bill was about $280. Gave the server $100 tip. So $380 total.

I would say Filet was on par with Ruths' But Ruths' apps and sides were better IMO. Service was probably just slightly below Ruths', but very good.

Thanks for the review. It doesn't sound too impressive on the food front.

This sounds odd. Why spend so much on an interior when you keep the place so dark people must be escorted to the restroom? It also seems odd to have someone take you to the restroom. I guess everyone knows where you're going if a server is walking with you.

Well maybe not everyone is escorted lol. But I did see a lot being escorted. Basically if your server saw you getting up they would escort you.

Wtf I made it to the bathroom fine. Unless they changed something, it wasn’t THAT dark. Only thing I couldn’t see was the door to walk in.

That sounds about what I would expect as far as the food goes.

I always laugh at the beer was cold. Is this a backhanded insult because the beer options suck? Or are we actually saying the beer was cold, like some places youve been to serve warm beer

I dont think its that at all. I think its a look at the service here. Sort of like a bathroom attendant. It isnt that dark in there and I cant see for shite

Well they also had a restroom attendant. Maybe they had some lights out cause it was really dark, particularly the bathroom hall. Luckily I found the "M" on the door....first door on left.

What bathroom were you at?

The ones to the right of the dj booth if you were walking from the kitchen were all single bathrooms. This was right in the middle of the main dining area.

I have been to places that serve warm beer, just saying.Just trying to get them an extra half star for cold beer. The beer options were limited, but the "Red" had a touch of sour to it and was quite good

Same restroom. The attendant was outside in the hall and had a tip jar with a $5 in it. Not the typical "here's some cologne" attendant. But the drying towels are real towels and in limited supply, so maybe part of her "attendant" job was to replace these towels.

Im confused I guess or maybe they changed up the bathroom situation.

When I walked into that hallway, the lady pointed me to the first door that was not occupied. I went in and its a complete self service private bathroom. No one was around to give towels or anything.

Yes, they were all single stall. The towels were in the bathroom and no one is handing them out. Attendant was outside. I am not 100% sure what she was doing. I assumed she was doing something to earn tips, but can't confirm. No one pointed me to the restroom, I just went to the one with "M" on it.

I’m right there with you. Everything from the very average menu to the pretentious atmosphere has me never wanting to dine here.
