I will be there March 13th-16th for St.Patrick's day, this will be my first time in Chicago. Will be staying on Delaware St a block off the Magnificent Mile, so this being my first time there was trying to stay around the downtown area.

Friday

Lunch- Might try Al's or Giardano's (Probably going to the Natural History Museum around this time)

Dinner- Rosal's

Saturday

Breakfast- Glazed and Infused donuts which are located at my hotel

Lunch- Whichever out of Al's and Giardano's I missed the day before I will try this day (Should be around where the St.Patrick's parade is going on)

Dinner- Girl and the Goat

Sunday

Brunch- Joe Fish

Lunch- This one is still up in the air, will probably visit the Willis Tower around this time

Dinner- Gibson's Steakhouse

Monday

eat breakfast and leave.

Does this sound like a pretty good lineup? I tried to get a little of everything Chicago had to offer in regards to food. Do yall have any recs in regards to beer I should try while there, or brewpubs/bars for nightlife? Things I should for sure check out while there?

I'd go to one of Rick Bayless' restaurants, Topolobampo or Frontera Grill, for Mexican.

My favorite was Cafe Spiaggia.

I second the Bayless recommendation (we did Topolo) and would also try to make time to fit in a meal at Purple Pig. It was second only to Girl and Goat when we went. They don't take reservations, so when we went I don't think we were seated until 9:30 or so, but they do small plates so maybe you could do an early dinner somewhere and head there late. There is usually a long wait, but you can go by and put your name and number down and they'll call (we just walked to a bar down the street to wait).

We did Gino's East for pizza which was great but I don't know if there's a huge difference between the big deep dish places.

Sounds good, but if you eat deep-dish pizza for lunch, you might not want anything for dinner.

Consider The Weber Grill restaurant for steak. Everything is cooked on a weber grill.

I'm going the exact same weekend!

Haven't made reservations anywhere because We just booked and I'm kind of at the mercy of others. Solid list.

Frontera was a major disappointment

Bangers & lace is a good lunch spot in Wicker Park, more importantly, their beer selection is outstanding. They had a better selection there than at the much heralded Map Room nearby, imo.

My cousin owns Bad wolf Coffee which is getting tons of great reviews all over Chicago. He has worked as a chef all over including momofoku in nyc. He bakes everything fresh every morning himself. Check him out

Personally, I would go to Lou Malnati's over Giodano's for deep-dish.

If you're looking for BBQ, Smoque is very good. I live in lower Lincoln Park, so it is a bit out of the way. If you're looking for a BBQ place more near the downtown area, I would recommend Twin Anchors in Old Town.

You must fit Portillo's somewhere in there. There's one right on Clark and Ontario in the River North area.

The best chicken wings in Chicago reside at Crisp on Broadway and Wellington in South Lakeview.

As far as beer, I've become a big fan of Half Acre Beer Co. I really like their Heyoka IPA and Pony Pilsner. You'll typically find their Daisy Cutter (Pale Ale) on tap around the city.

If I make it that far I will certainly give it a shot. It's a little far from my hotel, but I may hit it Saturday morning instead of donuts.

Longman and Eagle for lunch or brunch.

I also loved Rosebud. Gibson's is so freaking good!

I understand that I'm not the most adventurous when it comes to food. But how on earth can anyone look at the menu at Girl and the Goat and think "can't miss"?
I'd rather go to Outback and save $100
