For those who are waiting, I asked when I made my order just now at 2:30 if they "put a dent in it yet," the answer was a very wide eyed "OH YEAH".

I overheard one of the workers saying they had cased up 468 cases in total. When I got there, I was probably in the 200s and there were a good 200 behind us. It was fun though, they had music and a tent and some food. Good atmosphere! Made some line friends.

This hype is actually very good news for all the beer lovers in the state. The hype is gonna create better beer and more of it.

Some of those people in line drove in from all over the place. I was surprised! Some came in from Alabama, Mississippi, Lake Charles, BR, NOLA, etc. A lot of them also knew all kinds of stuff about limited releases and diff. kinds of beer all over the place. I learned a lot today.

This. The number one factor in brewing exceptional beer is a talented brewer. Tin Roof, NOLA, Abita, Mudbug, etc. are all just OK brewers.

Parish, Old Rail, Great Raft; these are the real talent. We need more people with that kind of refined skill set and vision to come and tap this market, because there is such obvious demand.

ETA: What's the line look like now? Anyone got an update?

This is stupid.

Id rather wait in no line for a 6 pack of budweiser at circle K than deal with this

At least it is a beautiful day.

I'm sorry if you think all of the Louisiana breweries are amazing because they are local. They aren't. I'm not saying they're bad. I'm merely remarking on the fact that some are clearly more talented than others. I don't know why anyone would dispute or have a problem with that.

Gotta be close to cashed. Anyone have an update? It's pretty awesome they had a mini-trillium happening today. Don't remember first opus being that long of lines

There are plenty who aren't local

Or maybe some have their hands tied and have to produce the beers that sell because that's what the guy signing their check tells them to do.

I was just asking if you had some first hand experience at all of these breweries to know who the talent ones are or if you are just making assumptions.
