I'll be selling ghost out of my trunk on GRD. $20/4pk. Barrel aged GR, $100/bottle.

Andrew is a smart business man who knows how to capture great income on a fantastic product his company has produced. I'm happy for him.

No way I'm paying $40 to simply have the opportunity to purchase Ghost, or spending time chasing beer trucks.

Oh well. I think Batch 1 was the only batch I wasn't able to get at least one bottle or glass in my hands. I'll just do without Batch 7 and maybe one day either production will increase or frantic demand will decrease.

Damn awesome beer, though.

one of the most over hyped beers in my opinion... I mean this board had me thinking that I was drinking beer coming from the fountain of youth or some shite.

Its good but the hype on this beer is laughable.

I'm not sure where you're getting it from...... No poster has ever taken this position, at least not seriously

I have read it here. I don't care enough to try and find it. It was also a serious comment as well. Hyperbole? Likely.

FWIW, I would consider you a maven and not a "maven"

That's not really what the $40 is for, it's just a perk.

Pretty much the only reason why I bought a ticket though. Free glass is nice though.

Well if you don't want your tasting tickets, I'll take them!

Now you want to know how to get Ghost? Well, here's what I'd do. I'd get a poster sign and go sit on Jared Drive in Broussard on Saturday Nov 21st. I'd offer anyone walking out the door with a case $15 a 4pk. They just spent $72 on a case (6 4pks). It's a good deal for you because you didn't waste $40 on a ticket. And it's a good deal for them because if they sell you 3 4pks, they basically have 3 4pks left that they've only spent 12 on.

What is this, the beanie baby craze all over again?

You realize that's not what the $40 is for, right?

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of that happening.

Yes, I am aware of that. But it's going to be part of the equation in probably being able to buy any Ghost this go-round.

I'm not accusing Parish of ripping anyone off or being some evil business. They're being smart. Good for them.

It's just not something, at least at this time, I care to be part of the process for me personally being able to buy some. I also don't drive from store to store across cities looking for specific beers or storing up in them, nor do I stand outside of Specs at 8am like Black Friday waiting for the doors to open. While I love craft beers, I am lazy in my pursuit efforts.

You'll probably be able to swing by the brewery on Monday and buy some GR and/or Ghost.

They have marketed this beer perfectly.

At some point, though, they have to go big or go home.

It is to me, dammit!

But for real, that's the reason i'm not buying a ticket. Because i would be spending about $80 on beer, don't want to spend another $40 just to have the opportunity to buy the beer. I understand there are perks, but there are things to do that day (Ole Miss game).

I'll take my chances in the markets, or see if a friend can grab me some.

I'll have plenty to sell on the secondary market. I'm even doing packages where you can get one each of the last four batches for $50.

GRD starts at noon. LSU-Ole Miss starts at 2:30. No reason I can't do both.
