Twitter is alight with this news. I wonder how many of them posting "what a tragedy" ever set foot in the place?

I hit up the daiquiri shop a few times. Never tried the poboys, though.

5 million, eh?

If someone pays 5 million for that property, they aren't gonna operate it / lease it as a poboy and daiquiri shop.

If the owner wants out, I would imagine they would accept less. Still the new owner might not keep the business open.

Gene used to live upstairs. That Hot sausage PO Boy was one of my favorites from my brief life in the city.

Used to be my absolute favorite poboy but last time I went it was pretty mediocre. Then I tried "The Cure" from Bevi and it was far superior. It's been my go-to ever since

I'm assuming its partially about the ABO permit attached to the daiquiri shop. Believe it or not it is really, really hard to get a new permit to operate a standalone bar (not a restaurant that serves food) in most parts of New Orleans.

Bevi is good, despite what this board says.

Bevi is good. I just find it a little higher priced than average.
