Frozen pizza in an air fryer

• Remove from freezer and brush bottom of the crust with olive oil
• Let pizza thaw out some.
• Melt two ice cubes underneath the air fryer tray.
• Add more cheese or whatever.
• Air fry at 375 degrees.
…I've been thinking really hard about frozen pizza and experimenting with cooking frozen pizzas since I was 12, and this way is really, really good. Works best with stone-fired crust pizzas.

Just do it in an oven on convection?

The biggest issue with cooking frozen pizza is moisture loss. Convection ovens are the worst for this.

Letting the pizza thaw exacerbates that issue.
Visibly spray the pizza with water evenly right before baking. And cook it directly out of the freezer, no thawing.

Re-heated pizza in an air fryer

How big is your air fryer and what size frozen pizza are you using?

Ninja Foodi 5 in 1. Cut the pizza in half and let it thaw out a little and you can make both sides fit in a Ninja air fry basket like puzzle pieces.

I have a very large air fryer so mine a can hold the personal size ones easy. Instead of letting them thaw, I put them in the microwave for a minute. Same idea though. That tends to the solve the issue of them turning out too well done on top but not enough on the bottom or center.

What do you think an air fryer is?
You can do essentially the same thing in a conventional oven by pooting a water tray under the pizza. I'm not opposed to using the air fryer, though I doubt most have ones that can fit an entire frozen pizza.

Reheated pizza in an air fryer damn near tastes better than the first time.
Try the ice cube trick and it takes it up even another notch.

A convection oven with way more airflow?
