I have not seen this in grocery stores, but did see it at Ace Hardware on Millerville. I bought a bottle of the diet, very good.
Has anyone seen it in the grocery stores?

Yes, in Associated Grocers' stores like Matherne's in BR and Oak Point in Watson. I've only seen them in quart size plastic bottles, usually on an end-cap display.
Also saw orange soda and sarsaparilla.

Saw it at Calandros and as Dorothy said the other AG stores in BR.
It is good. Root beer is a guilty pleasure.
I think it was 4 packs of plastic pints.

Thanks, I thought it was good enough to go buy some vanilla ice cream for a float for dessert tonight. It does taste like it came from Frostop.

Haven't run across this in stores but that stuff is great.

I love root beer, but the bottle of Frostop I had sucked balls, it was terrible.

Strange, the one I got was delicious. Keep in mind that if you bought the diet version, diet drinks have a fairly short shelf life.
I was transported back to Old Metairie and a Lotaburger in my hand.

Zuppardo's had at least a few cases of it. Not sure if they were going to carry it permanently, orr maybe it was just a test.

It was small town Americana once upon a time, BR could support a new pair or so even today with grand parents taking the young'uns out for an evening. Thibodaux had the franchise move to a new location to raise the customer flow by the store daily. Everyone of a certain age or dead would have been exposed to them, I could put down a few.

Does it have a Barq's taste or more like A&W?

Hi-Neighbor on Drusilla has it, although I'm convinced that store is actually just a "grocery store museum." Buyer beware, the Frostop root beer they have in there might really be from 1926!!!

I like Barq's too, but this is different, I rarely drink A&W so I couldn't tell you.

It really is an anomaly.

Payless on 42 had it cold a few weeks ago.

Lager's on Severn and Vets started out as a Frostop.
True fact.

I don't think Barq's has a traditional root beer taste so I would say more like A&W.
