Someone asked for more common meals to be posted. My dad dropped some squash on me the other day. I had a 1.5lb pork loin sitting in my fridge. Both were fried in canola oil, seasoned flour with buttermilk bath. Nothing fancy in the flour. Salt, pepper, Tony’s. For the pork I cut it into 1/2 inch slices and smashed just a little To thin the some more. Squash was gone by the time I got a pic. For good measure we add kraft Mac n cheese. Very simple.

Looks good but I need to stay away from a lot of fried foods with my cholesterol issues.

So, I did pork and chicken kebabs with jalapeno, red and green bell peppers, yellow squash, zucchini, mushrooms, onions and cherry tomatoes last night.

But I do occasionally like a fried vegetable dinner, especially when my garden is putting out lots of squash, okra, green beans and green tomatoes.

Fried squash is amazing, and I'm a sucker for Kraft mac & cheese. Pork chops look great. I would happily devour that meal.

Love me some fried Porkchops.

Same with fried squash. We haven't done any yet this year and the produce sections are full of them now.

nice.

I too love a good fried pork chop. Those were a staple of my childhood that I just don’t make as an adult. I’ll bake the odd chop w/crumb coating, though.

I’m eyeing some eggplant in my garden right now for eggplant fries, tho.

Nothing better than a fried pork chop between 2 slices of white bread

Between two slices of Evangeline Maid bread, with Jack Miller’s BBQ sauce.
