Not to keen on the ameican cheese....but a well seasoned burger. over charcoal, basted with BBQ sauce, on a toasted onion roll, with raw onion, bacon, shredded sharp cheddar and mayo is a kick butt burger, no matter what anyone says.

American cheese is garbage. I can't think of anything that wouldnt be better with cheddar.
Patties look great though. I always add Worcestershire along with S & P when making patties. Toppings for me are usually cheddar, Hellman's, and some leafy lettuce.
Sometimes I'll grill some onion and shrooms also.

Sometimes i like a good vinegar based bbq sauce or some jack millers on my burger. The JM takes me back to high school sporting event concession stands! But when i make it, the patty is actually meat and not those soy patties that the school cafeteria got.

i'd eat the heck out of that burger...of course, i haven't had a hamburger in over 3 months. So, yeah i'd eat the heck out of that.
It'd be nice if other posters could post their opinions without being gigantic douche bags to the original posters. I really enjoy seeing these pic threads, even if I would do something different. Being a gigantic douche bag will cause some people to no longer posts these pic threads.
