Mine was exceptional. I hope the one they make for you is as good as, if not better, than the one they served me. It's right off Canal by the Aquarium.

I rather just go to the restaurants .. No way in the world that the product that they serve at FQF us on par as the product they serve in the restaurant ... And you have to out up with stupid, sweaty and smelly people at a festival.

Yesterday, the shrimp remoulade served by Galatoire's at the FQF was better than the shrimp remoulade I've been served at Galatoire's the restaurant numerous times. The shrimp and remoulade tasted the same, but the lettuce was even colder and crisper at the fest. Simply great. And a lot cheaper.

Nobody's mentioned Cochon de Lait po'boy from Walkers aka Love at first Bite. Best item at the fest IMO

Stay inside then, you sure sound like a lot of fun...

No its not as good as in a restaurant, but the point is you get to try many different places at the same time, as well as listen to music and be outdoors.

The anti-fest people have proved how anti-social they are.

I've been working FQF since Thursday. I've eaten almost everything

The Vietnamese studied wings was the best thing I've had. The cochon from Love at First Bite was 2nd for me

i ate

-Crescent Pie and Sausage Co.
Bad Bart's Black Jambalaya & chaurice on a stick combo plate.

the jambalaya was not nearly as good as it is in the restaurant. Was disappointed. THe chaurice was good though.

-NOLA Restaurant
Vietnamese Stuffed Chicken Wings with Hoisin Sauce

these were pretty damn good. Im not even sure what they were stuffed with. Kind of like an egg roll filling but there was some type of meat in there was well. The sauce was good, too. Enjoyed this very much.

-Mrs Wheat Pies
cajun meat pie

these are so simple, but totally delicious when they are hot and fresh. I can eat a bundle of them. I make sure to get one every year, it didn't disappoint.

-The Buttermilk Drop Bakery & Cafe

I had the buttermilk drop from here. Wasn't fresh, but it was still tasty.

-The Praline Connection
Grilled Chicken Livers w/Sweet Hot Pepper Jelly

I got these last year, and they were top notch. Not so much this year. They were churning out the fried chicken wings, and that is probably what i should have got. The chicken livers were not fresh. You can tell they had been sitting under a lamp all day. Dry and extra chewy, many of them burnt. I nearly brought it back, but didnt want to be that guy.

-Antoines
Baked Alaska with chocolate sauce

This is another thing I make sure to get. Refreshing and cools me off, and is the best tasting desert item at the festival, imo.

-Blue Dot Donuts
Maple Glazed Bacon Long John

Not sure what I was thinking getting this thing. I saw it pop up on my FB feed on Thurs or Fri and i wanted to try it. It was OK, but not nearly as good as it looked. Really really rich, and the bacon was rather chewy. It was only $3 so I said why not.

-Muriels
Combo plate goat cheese Crepe & shrimp/eggplant dressing

A lot of people rave about this dish, and with good reason in my opinion. It never disappoints. Great flavors in each component.

All in all a great festival. It got kind of hot yesterday, and really crowded towards the end of the day when Trombone Shorty played in Woldenberg Park. So much so that I kind of had to walk away. I know there was a thread on the OT about someone complaining about the diversity of the festival, and that really doesnt bother me. But rudeness does. It's amazing how many people throw courtesy out of the window at large gatherings like this.
