I’m also vote Heim BBQ. Those burnt ends are like candy to me. Prime brisket, turkey, sausage, sides, it’s all good eats.

El fenix? That’s one step up from Taco Bell.

Lonesome Dove. Get the kangaroo carpaccio nachos, the scallops, and the elk sliders for apps.

Rodeo Goat

They have really good cheese fries(just make sure to get it without the surprise, unless you like a beef stew like pot roast chili in your cheese fries) but the burgers are overpriced and not that great. The burgers appeal to the "artisan" crowd, so there are better places to get burgers.

Extremely overpriced BBQ and the place is run by a far left liberal named Travis who hates conservative Americans. His Twitter account is cancer.

Glad someone has good taste

My recommendations are Buffalo Bros right across from TCU campus. I went here every single Wednesday for the 5 years I was a student. Go on Wednesday or on weekdays before 4 and you get .50 cent wings. They also have really good Bacon Cheddar Fries and their mozzerella sticks are good too. Also their pizza isn't bad either, on Mondays they have half off pizza.

Right next door to Buffalo Bros is Dutch's Hamburgers which has in my opinion much better, and cheaper, burgers than Rodeo Goat.

Also as someone already said, J's Casa Burger. It's a little bit north of TCU though.

Mama's Pizza on Berry St. or Camp Bowie has good pizza.

I like Uncle Julio's for Mexican. Been going there since I was born.

Railhead and Woodshed are my preferred BBQ places in the area.

Ol South is a TCU staple when it comes to breakfast. It's extremely busy on weekend mornings though. It's open 24 hours.

Esperanzas on Park Place Avenue has the same exact menu and is run by the same exact people as Joe T. Garcias, only its cheaper and more "local" without the tourist trap feel. Go there instead of Joe T's.
