I agree Chipotle is overrated but I don't get how so many people can get angry at this. How can it be a bad thing? Then again, you seem mentally unstable.

You do realize McDonald's at one time owned the majority of Chipolte, right? They bought in when there was less than 20 locations.

How do you know this? I have been told they make the guacomole daily. Not sure why they would not cook the onion and peppers in house either. Not sure about the salsas but I would not be suprised if they are made in house.

I haven't eaten chipotle since a stomach bug in 2013. Maybe it didn't cause it but it's what came up (and out) in spades.
Having said that, what we consume "on the side" at restaurants would surprise everyone. Bugs and bacteria are everywhere, and your average FF cook doesn't really give a damn.

No, McDonalds sold their share back to the original group...
I understand people's disdain for the brand but they recently stopped serving pork because they didn't approve of the way their vendor was treating the pigs...this went on for a while and cost them a lot of business, so I give them credit for following through on their beliefs...of course they should move that focus to food safety...
I stopped going because they didn't have carnitas and it was the only protein they served I liked...now I'm glad I stopped.

It seems they have recurring problems in their sourcing. Too much smoke to be coincidence in all these issues.
Don't they try to source "locally?" Maybe start using trusted, bigger suppliers with better safety procedures.

No. Part of why their schtick is such BS. Source locally but got 9 states sick? Got it. Makes total sense.
