Food left overs after 3 hours sitting out?

I was at a restaurant and ate half of the lasagna (with meat) that I ordered. We ended up there talking a while with friends after I had it wrapped. So it was about 3 hours until I got home and put it in the fridge. Is it safe to eat?

there's been countless times where I've cooked "sunday lunch" for my family, turned the stove off, drank the rest of the evening, and then ate the food that was on the stove for supper.
I don't think that 3 hours will matter that much.

It is a fully cooked dish. You will be fine

Dude 3 hours? You realize we didn't even have refrigeration until 100 years ago right? People didn't eat everything they killed or harvested within 3 hours. You'll be fine, especially something that's cooked.

It's safe.
Seafood is about the only thing I would toss in the 3 to 4 hour range

Seriously, I eat anything. My rule is, as long as there is no mold. I haven't see a Dr. since 2004, so I guess I am all good.

Think about how long food at a tailgate, party, wedding, etc. sometimes sits out. You're fine.

Four hours is the magic number.

I've taken cooked chicken and beef to work, didn't finish it, and brought it home for dinner multiple times. So I'd say your good for at least 11 hours.

A lot of it also has to do with what your body is used to and what your stomach is built to handle. There is nothing wrong with eating things that are questionable if you routinely do it, but if you never do its not a great idea. I mean there are animals that eat nasty arse things and somehow survive, some of that is genetics but a lot of that is simply built up naturally.
Refrigeration has weakened our stomachs.

We eat lunch at my in laws at 11:30 every just about every Sunday. Half the time we go back for Dinner at 6-6:30. She never refridgerates leftovers till eveyone is done eating Dinner. My grandmaw did the same thing. You'll live.

Cook supper. Start drinking. Get hammered at Fred's. Come home and eat food still on stove
And I only halfway died once. And it wasn't because of the food.

Mother used to cook chili and vegetable soup in a croc pot. It never was refrigerated. She would turn it off, next day turn it on, rinse repeat until it was gone.
