They are asking $4,500 for a Summit Kamado e6 here in UAE.

If you like to BBQ and Smoke for big crowds, just build you an offset smoker and learn from that. About a 40" long BBQ/Smoke area with a nice size fire box and pan area on top.

I’d go with a gravity smoker like a Masterbuilt or a Charbroiler. Charbroilers are a bit better built

Char-Griller*

I've made that mistake many times too

Have you known anyone with the char-griller? I like my MB Gravity Series, just wish it had a little better quality in materials.

What? You could have someone buy it in the states and ship it there for less than half that.

I am not big on pellets myself since I prefer the straight wood/charcoal flavor.

What do you think the pellets are made of?

Pellets may be made of wood particles, but it’s not the same end result. Most experienced smokers can attest to this. I’m not a scientist, but I believe the chemical reaction of burning lump charcoal and hardwood produce a smoke flavor that cannot be replicated by pellets.

I have an electric smoker which generates good flavor but no smoke ring so I’ve read up on that a bit. Some claim the ring can be created by adding a little charcoal to the wood chips. Haven’t tried it yet and don’t know anything about pellets.

Im only referring to the WSMs and kettles.... they are stamped painted metal and should be super cheap... not hundreds of dollars.

I've had my WSM and kettle going on 15 years now with no signs of it wearing out. I've gotten every penny of worth out of it already and plan on having both for many more years to come.

How many years do you think you will get out of both? I've seen a lot of those only make it a few years before they are toast.

Not sure why this is something people need. It seems to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Kamado's can run for 24 hours plus on a single load of charcoal without having to be touched as is.

I have the classic 2 and i agree. But i like the technology touch they put on the konnected. Is it necessary? No. Is it cool? To me, yeah.

Some people are hell bent on buying things that are guaranteed to break.

Not quite, but I get what you are saying. Weber has impeccable warranty service that far exceeds the cheaper made cuisinart models and will outlive a cuisinart by years. I'd suggest OP go the Marketplace route and get a WSM bullet, gently used, and proceed from there. I have Weber's approaching 20 years old, and one over 30 years old, so there's that.

nothing about this one, i just put together, is any different in the quality of a weber. I have put a few of those together too.... I dont specifically know warranty of Weber vs Cuisinart, but Cuisinart isnt some fake chinese company knockoff either.

Never claimed that. I gave you real life, longevity facts regarding weber quality that you ignored.

I've owned a few cuisinart pits through the years and can verify that they DO NOT last as long as Weber, by a long shot. They can produce quality food and not discounting that, I merely pointed out the difference since you claim that the cuisinart is an acceptable replacement for the "expensive" weber products. It simply is not and should be considered an inexpensive, introductory unit.

im also talking about this specific WSM knock off. There is no difference in materials as a WSM.

a topic we are not discussing right now.

did you read the thread.... MY point is with webers you are buying their name and are over priced compared to similar knockoffs. Why did you get your panties in a wad over this statement?

again did you read the thread... it is literally someone asking about their first smoker.

False. Weber's are a better product with better materials. You are misleading claiming they are comparable.
