which was that?
must have been the lindemans?
I don't know what it was about it. Maybe the acidic flavor reminded me vomit?
I'll try it again because I see that it has an A- and an A+ on BeerAdvocate.

only thing I drank today was a Reinaert Flemish Wild Ale. yeasty and a little sour. not much hops. very malty and fruity, but not sweet. probably wouldn't drink again but it wasn't that bad.
also scored these today:
ETA: forgot I also had a Sam Smith Organic Ale

Yeah, I enjoyed that one. The 3 Founteinen is strong...like flavored vinegar strong.

Ginger Jaque?

Stein's is the only place I've seen it. May be overwrought with ginger, but it was only $12 and I was intrigued so I pulled the trigger.

New Belgium has a Flemish Sour Ale as part of their Lips of Faith series. It was downright awful. I guess I'm not into sour ales. It was certainly sour. Bleh.

You're probably talking about la folie. It's one of my favorite sours. Very different from the reinaert beer.

Yep, that's the one. It certainly has to be an acquired taste or suited for certain palates. It was just way too sour for me. I had hoped since Flemish is sort of Belgian that I'd like it but turns out it wasn't for me.
And R2R, I finally drank that Orval last night. Solid beer as expected. Went well with a steak. Certainly smoother than any Chimay.

How did you like Finn's?

Best bar of the night. All the guys loved it plus they got exposed to nola brewing and thought it was liquid gold. They weren't soccer guys, but enjoyed the crowd and atmosphere enough to really get into the game. 12 mile limit was interesting. Getting buzzed into a bar lets you know you're in a good area right?
. Guy we met there ended up being our server at russell's the next morning (girls choice, i was pushing for crabby jack's). He hooked us up on our bill. Met some guy on the streetcar who worked at rick's who gave us some comps.
Overall, heading to mid-city was the best thing we could have done. It broke up the monotonay of a typicall all FQ bachelor party. It was great meeting you, and thanks for the round

Well, missed this yesterday, but my FBD was a Delirium Noel.
Actually, it was technically a celebratory Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout at about 2:05 AM after running a trail half marathon that started at midnight.
So I kinda had 2 FBD's yesterday.

Yes, I'd say that qualifies as 2 FBDs! Life is good.
