American wheat ale brewed in Broussard, LA. Not real complex, but it is a nice, crisp summer drinking ale and a good palate cleanser between DIPAs.

Parish Brewing said Lake Chas is next on the distribution list. I hope so. We are currently getting NOLA and Tin Roof so its good to see more local breweries sending their stuff this way.

I like to support LA breweries. Tin Roof has been disappointing so far. NOLA is solid of course and I am looking forward to their DIPA, which is supposed to be released next month. I have high hopes for Parish. Canebrake is good and I am looking forward to their Envie IPA, due out in the fall.

Just had an Olde English 800 40 for the first time since college to drown my TM7 sorrows.

Even worse than I ever remembered.

I'm of the mind that no matter how we all lust for the beers rated highly and hyped on ratebeer and beer advocate, supporting and developing local brewers who can produce beers just as good as the west coast, Midwest and east coast brewers will lead us to our own local beer nirvana. I'm really proud of the Dallas brewers. They are making some damn fine beer. I'm sure la brewers are the same.

Nichols, McNeese or Southeastern has good food

Nicholls had great food from 2008-2009 but then they fired some chefs and then budget cuts happened. It is now crap. Wish it wasn't but it is.
