its not like a ton of people in H-town have had any access to their beers other than a couple of spots who got kegs a couple of months ago, you really don't see it here...its not from lack of enthusiasm---I would try it for sure if I saw it out somewhere...the other possibility is, there is this pervading idea in craft circles that if a beer is made somehwere else and its hard to find then its better than the other beers you already have access to. WEll, Houston already has access to a ton of really good beers

Pretty much, I've been enjoying it... usually waking up at 7 local time exploring/site seeing stopping for lunch, more sight seeing, and then around 5/6 local time bar hopping.

We've done Ghent, Brugge, Antwerp, Dinant, Liege, Amsterdam, Venice, and next is Luxembourg so far.

There was a thread on the Houston Craft Beer FB page yesterday discussing this. Some guy noted Alpine's disappointment in seeming lack of enthusiasm in the Houston market??

I can confirm this is accurate. Although I think the rep could have worded it differently. There were also games being played with it's distribution. DT Saucer was the only keg of Nelson Houston saw. The rest could be found around town.

In other news, Brash's Pussy Wagon 4 packs are available July 25th at the brewery. (so relieved it's 4 packs )

I'm not disagreeing, but, you can never have too many good beers. Not just because you need more beers, but because more places will have access to, and start carrying good stuff. If your local sandwich shop has Alpine Nelson on tap, then you don't have to haul yourself 'cross town to have a great beer. Your local sandwich shop is not going to get a sniff at Nelson until you have enough good beers that the high volume taprooms don't use it all up.
