FBD is DDH DIPA series 9. Although I think it's series 1 since they haven't done a DIPA variant before. Canned 4/2 and I think it's a bit green, but promising.

FBD is a Copperhead Feeding Frenzy DIPA

Hey List, did Copperhead change this beer away from a hazebro, or did Whole Foods serve me the wrong beer?

2BD is a Eureka Heights Business Time IPA

EH needs to just go ahead and produce a nice danky DIPA to can and sell off the shelves. #MakeIPAsClearAgain

Freaking phenomenal weather today.

And I’ve enjoyed these. Will need to buy more.

FBD is my first taste of the Urban South 3DH. I was excited for this one, but as others have said it really does taste too much like some of their regular New England releases (I’m really getting Electrinity..)

It’s good, but I was expecting a more complex, punchy hop character. This is the same old sort of indiscriminate hop character. Lightly grassy, maybe floral. A kind of perfume I’m not super crazy about. If I’m really reaching, maybe some citrus and some tropics, but compared to the Gnarvana I had this weekend, I’ll take the Gnarvana every time.

As I posted yesterday, the best New England in the state right now is Miel’s Bird of Paradise Triple. And if anyone has trouble believing me, please go see for yourself!

I’ll be back next week. Maybe. Let’s see how much sleep I’m getting first.

And I grabbed these at WF.

Was curious about how you see this close to Electrinity. DNA is similar.

Data on the two beers

Electrinity
Electrinity is a DDH IPA with 4 lbs per barrel of Nelson, Denali, Citra, Mosaic and Centennial

3DH
pilsner malt and A LOT of oats! Then we dry hopped this beer three times with Nelson, Sabro and Cryo Mosaic

Man, I was trying to pin which release it reminded me of!

It sucks to know there’s Sabro in this one because I love that hop so much, but I’m willing to bet it’s less than 1/3 of the hop bill. I made a NEIPA with 1/3 Sabro, 1/3 Medusa, and 1/3 Zappa and it was almost as prominent as the 100% Sabro NEIPA I made with the same total hop quantity.

This one not having Citra really left it lacking IMO. Hell, Denali is a killer New England hop! I think Nelson is just too light and delicate of a NEIPA hop and I’d bet they got a lot of the hoppiness they needed from that Cryo Mosaic.
