Well, I’ve had a Homebrew New England that was single hop Denali that was better than 3DH.
I’m not saying that Nelson is a bad hop at all. I’ve used it before and think it’s a great hop for New Englands. The fact remains that both Electrinity and 3DH contain it and there is nothing about those beers that blows me away — especially considering the 2x and 3x DH monikers. AND the fact that this 3DH has Sabro which I’ve used in 2 of my last 3 NEIPA’s and it has been insane.
It could very well be water chem... I’m feeling like the hops are somewhat muted and that could be them going overboard on CaCl to try and hype up the body/mouthfeel along with the oats.
I’m just providing what anecdotal evidence I have from my personal experience.
