FBD is my first pour of a Norwegian Wheat NEIPA Homebrew I hopped with South African Southern Passion, Sabro, and Citra Cryo hops. 60% White Wheat, 40% German Pils grain bill I had lying around for a sour or Hefe. I have like 4 lbs of hops accumulated, so i figured a NEIPA was due.
Holy shite, it turned out better than I would have imagined! Fermented with a sleeping bag around the carboy and it was warm to the touch after the 2.5 days it took to COMPLETELY FERMENT. I let it cool without the bag, dry hopped, then kegged two days later on Tuesday.
It’s got a hoppy, sweet citrus nose that follows through into a wonderfully balanced sweet, yet attenuated taste with a solid body. It’s fruity with peach and citrus and light tropics, but not devoid of that light hoppy resin. Super delicious, super quaffable.
