Is that their double IPA? Will it be a regular release?

Yes on the double and no on the regular release. I know I said I wouldn't get too many more fills at this price but it's basically like being able to get growlers of Younger, it's that good.

And Jax, I am still waiting on the Superpower keg. I was told they are brewing more this week so...

And I am happy to report they are now filling growlers all the way to the top. The Tired Hands growler is going to Fed Ex shortly to start its trip to Dallas.

Monday was the first time I've ever had an entire glass of Younger. I had a sip of it 2 years ago, but not enough to appreciate it. Great beer - if Hop Chops is in that category, I would pay extra, occasionally...

What's the ABV on Hop Chops? Younger runs about 11%, right?

Do you find that those high ABV IPAs deteriorate faster than the low ABV ones? I had a glass of Notorious a month ago, and it was fantastic. I had another one a couple of weeks later, and it was much sweeter and maltier. Still flavorful, but not the same. I'm pretty sure both beers were from the same batch, so I'm wondering if there's a reason for it.

Normally, Notorious wouldn't last 2 weeks, but Boneyard is starting to brew it more regularly, and people aren't scarfing it down as fast, know that they will be able to find it again, soon. I, for one, am looking forward to having it more readily available this summer.

I don't know if they deteriorate faster or not, but personally, I find that the sweet spot is somewhere around 8%. Any higher than that, and the potential for the malt/alcohol to overshadow the hops really starts to ramp up. There are very few DIPAs > 9% that I've found I enjoy.

Yea, the big ones seem to get sweet and boozy as they age. Lower abv ipas just seem to lose their hops.

I blame it on the crystal malts. Seems like beers I've made that don't have crystal malts don't get malty after a long time.
It would make since then that bigger IPAs get that way, I'm sure they aren't just 2-row or some other pale ale malt

Odell Mountain standard. Damn good black ipa

My taste buds must have missed the boat on that beer. I've seen several of you mavens mention how good Mountain Standard, yet when I tried it on draft at Whole Foods (meaning I'm assuming fresh), I was left wanting more flavor.

2BD: Cedar Creek Gone-A-Rye

I like this. Much more than their Dankasouras. Granted, I had Dank in a can and Gone is draft, so that could be why.

Both of those cedar creek beers are solid. I do want more hop bite from them, but overall very drinkable. Nice citrusy notes in both.
