5BD is a Brooklyn Local 2. Not a lot of fresh DIPA options here, so I am going back to the Belgian style stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

FBD - Fresh Hop Mosaic Bomb from Breakside. Wow. That's a lotta hops.

FBD was GR Provisions and Traditions V3 Oktoberfest with dinner. No pic. It was ok. Not my favorite style so kinda hard for me to judge.

What'd you think about that Double Duckpin? Buddy of mine threw it in as an extra and I haven't tried it yet.

Is it everything that I'd hope it would be?
Heard it was magnificent?

I thought it was a clean IPA. Not worth $9 a pint though (Pelican House a few weeks ago).
Disclaimer: friends were already there; I am not a fan.

I thought Duet was excellent but Nelson was on a whole different level, IMHO. I also had Ale Smith IPA last week and was blown away by it as well.

Same for me, was an extra. Was pleasantly surprised. Quite balanced, hop forward, a good malty backend and finished a little bitter.

Its good.....though my pigweed allergies have messed up my hop receptors.

Split some beers with a couple of friends tonight
FBD was an Abita Bourbon Street Stout
2BD was a crowler of Parish Neapolitan- I thought it was ok, I mostly tasted the chocolate, didn't get much of the vanilla or strawberry.
3BD was a Hair of the Dog Blue Dot DIPA
4BD pending
