Big Fattie is good fresh on draft, we were there a couple Saturdays ago and participated in trivia. Finished 7th and still won free beer (6 pack worth)

God damn it that looks amazing.

Well, my FBD was a Dad Jokes at the source. SBD is another Dad Jokes while brewing up a beer for drinking at parades. Rouse’s Pecan Praline King Cake straight into the mash on a pale malt base with a nice, dry, estery English Ale yeast. Dad Jokes is legit — very Vic Secret dominant — which is awesome. Tons of pineapple, papaya, and citrus. Drinks clean and crisp for a New England. Nice resinous lingering bitterness.

Big Fatty is awesome. It’s maybe become my favorite Louisiana IPA.

That looks great. What yeast are you using? I used some S-04 on an Ale with Pilsner malt and Ella hops and it really came out nice. I liked that English Ale yeast.

I went to brewstock wanting S-04 because of a recent video I saw where the guys said it gave them some more dark, dried stonefruit — which sounded amazing for what I was going for — but vied for White Labs version of the same strain: WLP 007 Dry English Ale. Didn’t want to make a starter.

I went there for some lager yeast and he sold me some Kveik. Needless to say, I fricked up a whole brew using that shite. I’ve got some more of the yeast in my fridge but I don’t think I’ll be using that crap again.

Kveik is awesome, but you gotta use it the right way. I have a Sour Orange Creamsicle Neeper I’m kegging today that is Voss.

What style were you making and why don’t you like it?
