Which Icon? Did you try blue yet?

No, unfortunately not. I haven't seen it available. This was the red, Belgian Pale Ale.

This is good advice. You will regret it if you hang on to it.

Late to the game...FBD is a S.A. Blue Icon Cascadian Dark Ale. I put it up there with Endeavour.
That being said, it's a home brewers recipe that won the Big Batch Brew Bash a few years ago.
Oh StArnolds....stuck in the past.

What do you think of it? This is my first time trying the 70. It arrived here warm and I stuck it in the freezer and left it there too long, so it needs to warm a bit before I can pass judgment.

Rogues Choc Stout. One I've passed on before but would buy again.

I need to try this one. I am a big fan of Endeavor. Their Red Icon is just OK.

I really enjoyed the icon blue. Bougjt a 4 pack yesterday and have one left. I really love the beer. Great leap forward over icon red...

I'm not excited about the next two icon styles...hefe and pils...but we shall see

Red Icon is a C average Belgian Pale Ale. The Blue is a solid Pacific Northwest Black IPA. Hoppy aroma, bitter bite, and very small amount of roast, if any.
This beer is why S.A.'s is so frustrating. All the ability in the world to make great beers but would rather brew to an 80's palette to keep hitting their quotas.

Hope you enjoy it when it warms. I really like it. No beer being on call. Just got back from taking a dude to the or to pull a wire he accidentally swallowed while eating a steak at one of your below average chain steakhouses. Looked like part of a grill brush. Homeboy's gonna get paid.

Before Endeavor, I never bought SA stuff. Aside from Endeavor and Pumpkinator and the occasional DR, they make average beers IMO. That being said, I absolutely love a fresh Endeavor.
