re: Opinion on Ruger .300 Blackout?

Ruger came out with the SFAR in .308. Reviews show it to be an accurate shooter and it’s lighter than a lot of AR-10’s, especially at its price point. Food for thought.

Victoria County. Not seeing a lot at the feeders other than young bucks. There's enough food sources from the wet summer/fall that the deer don't need to supplement with corn.

Roegels at Voss/Westheimer.
Brisket House at Woodway/Augusta.
Lines usually get long by 11:30 at both.

Los Angeles Bottle Shop

Posted by T450 on 10/3/13 at 6:47 pm
I'm in LA for work, plan on hitting Beer Belly for a few pints later. I'd like to bring some local beers home, anyone know of any solid bottle shops in the area? I'm downtown but willing to drive some miles if necessary.

First off, lose the concrete blocks and get some natural stone like real men. What you have screams the opposite of no homo. Those semi circles are the ghey, make a nice swooping s-curve from drive to patio. It'll be the tits, I swear.
After you've done that, go get some ornamental grasses and plant them between the house and path. Yaku Jima, Variegated Miscanthus, or better yet Hameln Fountain grass. Only choose one, don't mix and match, this ain't maw maw's garden.
Plant 5-7 gallon size grasses at 36" on center and cut it back to about 9" above the dirt early spring of every year.
All this is assuming that spot gets some sun, if it doesn't go get some Gant Ligularia instead and don't cut them back.
Please realize this post is full of sarcasm. Thanks for taking pride in your yard, you're already further along than most folks nowadays.

Drink that Hop Henge...NOW!
It's an amazing beer that is so good fresh you're only doing yourself a disservice by aging it AT ALL.

Frick CSNHouston. My taxes paid for their venues and now I can't even watch them play. Double rods for Matt Hutchins.
p.s. 6 seed you say?

Ska Decadent DIPA.
Ska is the Colorado brewery the good people of Louisiana should be clamoring for.
New Belgium can suck a boner.

This is definitely happening.

I've heard this for the past 10 years. The wasteland that is downtown is too great a deficit to overcome. The Heights, Midtown, Montrose, Oak Forest, Sixth Ward and Rice Military. All these areas are next to something. Eado ain't next to shite except downtown and downtown ain't shite.
Edge conditions man. At some point a bunch of feather not dot Indians has some serious red arse about all those denim dan canadians moving into their turf and eating their local foods.
Same things happening here, it's just a word, it's not any one groups own history or identity.
Be OK with a world class restaurant in Houston borrowing it for the time being...hell, shame on you for not being flattered.
Hasn't Louisiana always had an image problem and isn't that part of what makes it such a unique place? There were the Innjuns, then the Spaniards, then the French, then Africans...so on and son on. Some English here, Haitians there, the occasional European or South American.
Louisiana doesn't have the market cornered on culture, this country is only 250 years old....lets not assume we've all arrived just yet.
This thread got me thinking, there's a joint in Las Vegas calling themselves Paris. I hear there are neither Frenchmen nor Cajuns at said establishment.
Should we freak out? I eagerly await the boards response.

You preface your post with this and then proceed to give your opinion on one of the more complex beer styles out there.
C'mon man, you're in over your head. Stick to the Natty and it'll all be OK.

Envie may be one of the better session beers coming out of La. If available in cans, it'd be my new game day beer of choice.
1992 Eagles - Cowboys MNF at Veterans Stadium. I
was in 6th grade, first and only game my dad would ever take me to in that stadium.
The walk to the car after the game gave me a real appreciation for everyone fighting to get on the last chopper outta Saigon.
If you aren't drinking it in Cali ,it's not the same. Not saying that to be a wet blanket, but the hop profile is so complex you'll be missing out even a few days from its peak.
Sculpin IPA is another hop bomb that is only a shadow of its potential here in Texas.
All the more reason to visit the source for both. I'm planning my return trip for the summer since Colorado's been black listed what with their new found liberal ways as of late.
