Andrew did mention that they may leave Grace and Grit unfiltered next time to improve the nose

That might help. People like to joke that the main reason Kimmich wants you drink Heady from the can is so that you don't see all the shite floating in it.

The Conan yeast doesn't floc at all. My GOAT was brewed with it and it's extremely opaque.

FBD is some frick Ole Miss.

If y'all ever get a chance to try an IPA by Barley Browns, do so. The nose on their beers are fantastic. But none of y'all ever come up here.

Can it be found in Seattle?

I'm making a list for next week.

The floaties in Heady are from the hop resin.

I'm not sure. Draft only. You may find Boneyard on tap, also.

I'm trying to set up a golf and beer trip up to the Bandon dunes resort to play all 4 courses then head over to Bend. A night in Portland may be added in there too.

Floaties aren't resin. Hop oils float on top of the beer. Look at the BP oil spill on my beer for hop oils. The floaties in Heady are probably a combination of yeast chunks stirred up and hop particles.

Nice.

4th consecutive sober day. I'm getting tired of these 16 hour days. Tomorrow, I ride.

Not sure if it is the proper term, but here in the direct quote from the Heady can.

quote:

If you MUST pour it into a glass, you may find some of the hop resins have settled to the bottom - leave them in the can when pouring. This beer is perishable, and at its best when it is young, fresh and hazy.
