Ha. Same goes to mikkeller, but if its good its worth trying once. Theres no way ill ever pick up a $35-$40 sixpack though.

Yea, this isn't going to become my go to IPA but I really like it and had never had it so I picked some up while at Marcelo's earlier.

I have only tried 2 and although I think they are good beers, I am not sure they are worth the price. That Simcoe Single Hop I had for FBD was $5.39 for 11.2 oz.

That dude makes some awesome beers. The problem is not only is it a craft brewery, but its also an import. Same thing for brewdog.

I really like the 2 I've tried, but due to the price I am not going to drink them often. Great beers, but not an everyday beer for me due to its cost.

Yeah thats why i typicallu stick to the more unique stuff they make. Boogoop wheatwine was worth the $15 imo. The barrel aged black holes are a little higher than id like but who else offers a single beer aged in 6 different barrels. my tbd will be tequila barrel aged black hole.

Where else can you get a beer where the ibu count is 4 digits, an ipa with 19 hops, etc

Yes, I am glad I've tried these beers and I am going to try several more Mikkellers in order to broaden my frame of reference.

SBD: Mikkeller Ranger Barrel Aged Chipotle Porter

I don't know what it runs because my brother got me this one for Christmas, but it's pretty damn tasty. The chipotle and barrel aging are both subtle, but they turn it into a very interesting beer. And I don't usually like porters.

If he can brew one that tastes like this, he needs to go commercial.

It's aged in Speyside scotch whisky barrels, not bourbon.
