Abita Strawberry

I cannot get into this beer. Ms. Frat had it with crawfish last night and I think it tastes like the Strawberry cake from Ambrosia. (not the cake, the beer)

I like that cake.

The beer is good for a change and much more interesting than a pilsner.

I like the cake as well, just not in my beer. To be fair, I haven't really gotten into this beer since the first time they put it out as a Select my sophomore year of college and I had it at the Chimes.

To be fair, the beer is not that old of a beer.

Obviously.

I have a funny story to tell you/Boo/tetu about the other night at the Cove, so I may shoot you an email because while it seems like we are the only ones in the thread I may not want to reveal our identities to those on the board who may not already know who we are.

I can't wait. I hope it tastes identical to the DR 11 but I'm starting to lose faith in St. Arnold's ability to make a quality full time brew. I hope they didn't cut corners with this beer. I loved the original.

How as that endeavour? I went looking for it on Wednesday but everybody said it would be Thursday before they got it. The Wine guy at Central market was really perturbed he was getting so many people calling and looking for it. I was too busy yesterday to go back. Hopefully I can find some today.

I've still got a bottle or two of the 11 laying around. I should test one out with the fresh stuff soon.

Also I want to get some guys together to see how well I did brewing the Mirror Pond clone, since I have some Mirror Pond at the house. It is still being dry hopped right now so it will be another week or so.

I'll be free later, just not when you wanted to do it. and based on the email I just sent you I may be running to Happy's on Coursey after the rehearsal dinner.
