FBD: Stone IPA...I've been reintroducing myself to this beer, in bunches. I love it.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago.

The Heresy is excellent. It's an Oak aged Imp Stout
e
ETA. Kim it was quite a game. Jordan Hare was electric and Auburn came to play. LSU walked into a buzzsaw One to remember, my son and I had a great time.

I never had barley wine until Mikeller's BooGoop. I was hooked quickly. I buy as much as I can as often as I can. I really enjoyed the Bigfoot offering.

Posted by Coater quote: rds dc how was the new job? no fbd yet. thinking about "drying out" from the weekend. heading up to nyc this weekend for our 10th anniversary as well as a friend's 40th bday. any beers i should be on the look-out for?

Anything by sixpoint, especially resin or autumnation if its out yet.

Im a big weyerbacher fan, i went to the brewery during the summer. Double simcoe is great and so is their pumpkin beer.

If you are at a bar and see anything by kane or carton, check them out. They are my two favorite nj breweries and both are only a year old.

It's a long shot, but I read that Heady Topper has appeared in New York before.

I'm sure there are plenty of good breweries to seek out. I'd imagine Southern Tier, Victory, Goose Island, and Clown Shoes are all available. A lot of good stuff from the West probably makes it's way there as well. You should have a lot to choose from. Have a great trip!

FBD - Nola Brown after cutting this grass. Is there anything like a beer after doing some yardwork?

It is always good to try new stuff, but I am not a big fan of any of those other than the SN Pale Ale.

I've heard good things about the Saint Arnold and Sierra Nevada beers so I thought I'd give them a shot. I just finished the Octoberfest and it was just OK. I expected it to be heavier and darker for some reason.

Bigfoot. Unless one of the Krewe tells me otherwise, I have not had it.

Never had that one. Where are you?

Had the Bridgeport Witch hunt Harvest ale at McNellies in OKC.

Delicious. I'd say its a Brown ale with some cinnamon and nutmeg and some hops....

Checkout Homsis, Hokus Pokus and Lake St liquor. Homsis sells some Bear Republic and Hokus has a nice Belgian selection and Brooklyn Local 2, amongst others

Homsi's is my go-to spot for beer. Lake St. liquor is where I get my bourbon and scotch. I don't make it out to Hocus Pocus often, but I know they have a solid selection.

I was at Albertson's today getting groceries and I made my 6er on an impulse buy.
