The sublimely self righteous ale. Sounds like I'll add this to my list also. The list keeps getting bigger.
I'd push that one near the top. Probably one of my top 5 beers right now.

Interestingly enough thats one of the problems with the craft beer business. Us drinkers like variety and newness so much that they have have a hard time with repeat business.

Good point. And with more and more breweries coming into play it gets harder and harder.

5th and 5.5 were leftovers from mu hydrometer readings.
A dark wheat ipa at about 100ibus and a double chocolate stout which is more bitter and alcoholic than chocolaty. I dont mind. Tastes like a black chocolate stout with less chocolate and slightly lower ibu

Uinta Hop Notch. First time I've ever seen it, so I grabbed some. Great decision on my part.
Also picked up a Sweetwater 15th Anniversary bomber that's waiting in the fridge.

I'm going to grab that and Brooklyn #1 on my next trip. I'm down to my last Bell's Best Brown Ale so the trip will be VERY soon. I'm sure I'll find some other stray beers to take home also.

TBD: Racer 5 IPA at the Chimes
FBD: Stone Arrogant Bastard, again at the Chimes
Also took delivery of a bunch of Good People IPA and Snake Handler DIPA cans tonight thanks to a good friend who was in Birmingham last weekend.

Very cool. I hope they can get their distribution out here as soon as possible.
Nola is in all of AL now I think Good people and Back Forty should get it together.

I was lucky enough to try some of their "el gordo" RIS at 13.9% in Birmingham last year. Pretty awesome.
Back forty is legit too.

well it was over 80 yesterday, getting a bit warm for a heavy stout
I think BCS is at the top of my list for beers to look for once I make another run. Not reason not to have had it yet.
think it's worth setting one aside to age until next winter?

Yes, it almost time to move on to the lighter stuff.

I really don't know. I have never held onto beers to see how they change over time. I am not sure what components make one beer ageworthy and another not worth holding onto. I guess these floral hoppy beers that we like would not age well.

well, I think stouts typically do age well, I know that Deschutes recommends aging Abyss. As for the IPAs, I understand that the hops lose their punch as it ages, but I think the end result can still be a very interesting beer, though, as I said, it won't have the intense hop flavors
