Hokus said truck Wed at around noon so I would assume they may sell some then. I will try for that or Thurs. The DR 12 was kinda hot and I wasn't real keen on aging it. Seems like SA has really taken off and their seasonals are in high demand. This BMC area we live in is last on the list to get the new releases.

I did not taste any fresh bottles from last year's batch. I recently tasted a bottle (maybe 6 weeks ago) and this one does seem very similar to last year, just fresher.

I just can't get into this beer. It's too thick and syrupy. I have a hard time finishing the bottle which is weird because I absolutely love pumpkin beers and I love Imperial Stouts.

FBD: Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale. I wish I could get my hands on a pumpkinator to try, but I doubt it will be available in Dayton.

It's my favorite one out of the pumpkin ales, and I'm on my 4th four-pack this season.

My brother is supposed to search out pumpkinator around NO tomorrow for me and give it to me over Christmas break. I'm hoping he comes through since I've never had it.

ETA: where should I send him to look? He's on the Westbank but is close to the Huey P if need be.

You know me and my descriptions.

Not very much spice going on in it. Light pumpkin flavors with a sweet clean pumpkin candy type flavor left over. Not sure if they use a syrup or what but that's what I'm thinking.

Next up is a pumpkin ale from last year. Not our best effort but not a bad beer.

This year's Pumpkin Porter is very nice. What a difference a year can make in brewing

I am not familiar with beer retailers in that area. Pumpkinator, a stout, is much heavier than I remember the Weyerbacher being.
