I saw it but don't really know what to think until you actually try it. Plus unless they sent it off to a lab there's no telling how many IBUs are actually in it.

A brewer once told me that the human tastes buds can't distinguish anything above 90 IBUs. I've had beers in the 120 and 130, and they didn't taste overly bitter - probably because the brewer knew what the frick he was doing...

Fellow FBDer's. I have a friend who has a 2012 Parish Grand Reserve and is looking to make a trade. If any of you guys are interested let me know and I can be the middle man to this thang.

Most of the time when you see IBUs over 100 it's the calculated value and not the lab value.

The two numbers are often WAY off for high gravity/high IBU beers.

For instance Pliny the Elder has calculated value around 230-240, but the lab value is closer to 90-95.]
