Great pic Zappas. Looks like you are having a great trip. I really liked the Prada Marfa pic.

Check my FB. SO like to catch me while I've got my eyes closed after long nights of drinking. or early evenings of drinking.

Only did a 3 gallon test batch and I harvested my yeast from a bottle of Jester King El Cedro - supposedly contained both the saison and brett yeast (I already had it and was going to drink it regardless, so I didn't include that in my accounting!)

just listened to the Brewing Network show they were on. Even more respect for them. El Cedro sounds real real nice. Especially considering how much I liked the spanish cedar offerings from Cigar City.

I swear, between Cigar City and Jester King I'd be a happy man if I could get their stuff easily.

if you don't know about Marfa, it is Santa Fe 70 years ago. The art scene here is amazing all do to Donald Judd, a very famous minimalist sculpture, moving here in the 60s or early 70s. He has passed but artist come here from all over the world to work for his foundation and exhibit
their work. Many end up living here.

their work.

I haven't tried it and I find it hard to believe. You probably don't like belgianny/bretty IPAs though right?

I think he did a 1 gallon batch, but can't remember exactly.

2BD-5BD were samples from a farmhouse ale, another farmhouse ale, another farmhouse, and a steam beer. Farmhouse number 1 and 2 were great and will be kegged this weekend. Farmhouse 3 was sub-par and will go back to the closet for a few more months. The steam beer is promising, but still young and not yet lagered.

6BD is another SN Torpedo.

I wasn't a big El Cedro fan, but I thought Mad Meg was great.

On a beer related note, I have to run to the LA/TX border tomorrow for work. Any good stores in Orange?

It would be an unfair fight.
