No BD for Ryno. Im going alcohol free in January and maybe longer if possible. Got to get back in shape and lose 15 lbs and my beer habit is standing squarely in the way.
Ouch.
I've got to cut back as well, but no way am I giving up beer. Still have a ton of beer, I brewed more today and will brew again in a week or so.

Tried that one last night for the first time, courtesy of Rouge. Good stuff. Nice piney bite to it.

That looks great. I've been meaning to ask you (or anyone else from LC) if the Specs in Beaumont is worth making a run to, or if I should just wait and go to Houston?
I'm getting frustrated with the beer selection here in LC. Not really with the variety, which I think is decent for a town this size, but with the fact that it seems so spread out amongst four or five stores. I'm used to one stop shopping and don't like to call around the city to find something.

2BD - ?BD - too many to name but lots of good stuff. The standout for today was a JK / Mikkeller Weasel Rodeo. This one got mediocre reviews right out of the gate but is now up to 99 on ratebeer. The aging seemed to really do it good and it was outstanding. This was mostly a stout/porter/Belgium quad & triple and homebrew day, so it was a nice change from the IPA kick that I've been on.

I've tried that and it doesn't make any sense! Also, beer is great for recovery from a hard workout/ run - FACT

Somebody else may have contributed to that haul across the border.......

The Beaumont specs has a pretty good selection. The only thing you need to watch for are the "best by" dates. The ipas especially.

Absolutely. Problem being my runs have not been happening as much as they should be, primarily due to consumption of too many beers. I'm up about 8-10 pounds over my ideal race weight and I'm out of shape. Need to go back to the 2 beers a night rule/guideline.
Oh, whateverBD was a Yazoo Dos Perros. Not bad.

You'll drop that with a month of steady running. When are you looking race again? I am cutting back to one or two beers a night. This will be much easier to accomplish now that football season is coming to an end.

Yep, I've gotta up the running. Been in a vicious cycle of too many beers at night/not waking up to run in the AM. Looking at 2012, I ran roughly 100 miles a month, July-Dec after averaging nearly 150 miles a month in Jan-Jun. And that includes March when I was injured and only ran 50 miles.
Not sure of the next race. Considering the Q50 trail marathon on March 3rd at Bogue Chitto state park. Going to put on a 50K at Clear Springs in MS on March 23rd. Will have to get up there and work on the course a few times before then. "Longbeard2" is excited about that one.
