FBD is my first home brew.

I think I’ll call it

“Moment of Truth”

I’ll update on whether or not is was three weeks down the tubes.

ETA: well, not the best I’ve ever had but certainly drinkable with some actual flavor.

My first homebrew was my favorite and it was also one of the worst. What did you brew?

I’m kind of a beer out of a glass guy. Is there reasoning behind nixing the frosty mug? Or is it more of it’s just not fashionable?

It’s like coffee. I prime my coffee mugs to keep the coffee hot longer. It’s the same with beer. I get that it adds a tiny, minute amount of water. But it can’t be enough to really affect the flavor.

It was an APA from craftbrew. My daughter got it for me for my birthday.

She got it assuming it had everything needed in the box.

The frosty glass is likely the cause of the disproportionate foam you’re experiencing. That frozen mug can also mask the flavors of the beer

Frozen mug will hide flavors. Also, a beer will extract richer flavors as it warms and a frozen mug stalls that.
