Only BD is a Modern Times Fortunate Islands w/Grapefruit- I love this base beer and this is an interesting variant. It's definitely a little more bitter but still a lot of tropical flavor.

LBD is a Bourbon Barrel Buffalo Sweat. This is really good. Complex coffee and chocolate nose with a little smokiness maybe. Pronounced vanilla notes on the finish. Lighter in weight than I expected. The bourbon is actually hard to detect.

Felt the same way. Not that it was bad by any means. But I was expecting laquer-y type feel.

I think this is why I like it. The bourbon was subtle and not overpowering. If you want a strong bourbon component, this one is not for you.

Yup. I like a boozy BBA beer quite a bit, but that one is very different. It just heightens what the base beer already does. Night before last I said it was what Mokah wants to be, and that's basically how I think of it. Just a thin, really flavorful stout.
