The heat must have gone back south, where it belongs. I pretty much put an end to the heat wave in Oregon when I moved into a new house that had A/C. We had 3 weeks where the temps were in the 95-100 range.

This weekend we are getting sunny skies and temps in the low 70's. I'm hoping to get over to the Oregon Brewer's Fest sometime this weekend. The weather should be perfect.

I had a Chandeleur Coconut Porter for number one. It wasn't terrible. Faint coconut, but present. Probably wouldn't get it again, but it was solid.

I was asking about this brewery, a friend was talking about it after eating in Biloxi/Gulfport this past weekend. Is in in bottles/cans or only on tap?

I believe only on tap regarding chandeleur

Biloxi beers are packaged

eta: I see chandeleur has a "big smack" coming out at some point

Damn. Where did you end up? Where did you eat/drink?

I suspect the drunks from the Oregon Brewfest took all the rooms...

We chose... poorly.

Although with the lower humidity it never felt as bad as it does here now.

Jax, there were 5 rooms in a 50 mile radius of Portland. 2 were north of $600. The other three less than $40. I could do none of them. I had no idea when I left my artsy fartsy Inn in Eugene (that used famous composure's names instead of room numbers, I had the Schubert) that there would not be ANYWHERE to stay in Portland. I've got a fair amount of clout built up with different hotel groups but I literally could not find a fricking room. I searched all of Vancouver WA for a room to no avail before I resided to the fact that I was going to have to turn around and drive back to at least Salem. Finally about 7pm a vacancy popped up on Hotels.com for a room at a place east of the Airport about 15 miles. Grisham, maybe? I nabbed it, made a Uey, and that's what I did last night. A few 7-11 IPAs and a bad delivery pizza and called it a night.
