I had one a few years back. It was infected, but still somehow decent. Jois a tout, or something like that.

Followed the beers up with 4 bourbons at a really shitty dinner. Oh well. At least Farm Bureau was paying for it. Then another bourbon at the hotel bar with my dad. Watched some 60+ year olds get absolutely HAMMERED. It was pretty hysterical. One woman bought my bourbon because she said I needed it given my profession.

Now that I'm home I ain't gonna frick with what's working. Couple fingers of rye for my next pour.

TigerWise turned me on to Rattle n Hum. Good midtown bar. Lamb sliders are legit. Can't speak on the beer. I enjoy whiskey. But it appeared to have a good selection of brews.

Nice. One of my favorite bars in manhattan. Lamb sliders are indeed the best thing there. Constantly rotating their beers too. Great place.

Haven't had a beer since Sunday. Didn't start tonight, maybe tomorrow I'll crack one. Just poured two fingers of macallan 15 to wind down the night.

Decided to stay in even though Studio Square in Astoria is literally across the street... I have the tough choices of Lagavulin 16, Caol Ila 12, Highland Park 12, or Balvenie Doublewood 12...

I keep hearing good things about redbreast. I saw it last month when I was in Dublin but didn't get it. Will have to look for it around NYC. Thanks for the tip

It's only recently that I've been able to try more Islay Scotches. Ardberg, Caol Ila, and Lagavulin are very smokey scotches that go perfectly with a cigar. Lagavulin is my favorite followed up with Caol Ila, which is not as smooth, or dark.
