vodka from the freezer martini dirty with several olives thrown in. Three martinis is OK, but number 4 puts you on the floor.

Get in a time machine and go back to 1986. Go to Fred's on a Thursday afternoon. There will be an entire wall with nothing but boxes of oranges for fresh squeezed screwdrivers. Forego the rock gut BR brand Vodka and for an extra $1.25 ($2.50 total for a 16 ounce souvenir cup) have it with Stoli.
I swear the 200-250 of them I had over the course of three years were the best 200-250 drinks of my life. Yeah, its nostalgia talking but gotdamm they were good.
BONUS:
Baton Rouge tap water makes the best ice.
This. I was there with you on many occasions. I would try to go extra heavy on Tue and Thursday classes for the next few years so I could do The Sunset Club on Thursday afternoons and Beat the Clock on Friday afternoons at the Tiger across the street. Drinks started at 15 cents I think and went up a quarter every 15 minutes. Ha! The good old days! By the time gametime came around on Saturday it was 3 days of straight every lovin debauchery. Wouldn't change it for anything.

I’ve had a Bloody Mary now and then, usually with the Zing Zang mix, though I never found myself truly enjoying them. Since I really like V8 juice, I kept trying, hoping for that “Oh, this is good!” moment. I finally had that moment with Jeffrey Morgenthaler’s All-Day Bloody Mary Mix Recipe using this combination:
• 1½ oz vodka
• 2 oz All-Day Bloody Mary Mix
• 2 oz V8 juice
Morgenthaler’s recipe actually calls for Campbell’s tomato juice instead of V8. I haven’t tried it that way yet because I always have V8 at home, and honestly, it was fantastic with V8 from the very first sip.

If it's hot out and I'm in New Orleans I like a Madras: Grey Goose, Cranberry juice and orange juice, splash of grenadine (optional). It's like a deadly punch..
Cooking at home, we keep a bottle of Grey Goose in the freezer and I'll do a chilled shot of Goose.
At a party, Grey Goose and Soda w/ lime.

By far, a good Bloody Mary. I make my own mix using V-8 with several added ingredients and to finish off the drink I'll add a couple pickled green beans and an okra spear I make from what my garden produces.

My answer is still the same as it was when I last posted:
Crushed ice. Vodka. Olive juice. Olives. Dangerous as hell, though.
I don't really like sweet drinks, but I do enjoy the buzz from an espresso martini, so we've been having those some lately as a happy hour kickoff for the weekend.

My favorite with Tito’s is:
Whatever you think is enough vodka
Then water with MIO drops to taste

Ok, 1 part vodka, 1 part fresh watermelon juice, 1/2 part Orange liquor, juice of one whole lime. Unreal, but can substitute tequila .

I'm sorry. The judges say that is not correct. We were looking for rot gut.
I do recall those crates of oranges and drinking my share on Thursdays. Couldn't even tell you what vodka they used. I just wanted the (cheapest) kind that would get you drunk.
