cream cheese

cleansing my pallet with ginger
Dark thick soy sauce and good hot wasabi

i'm a big fan of anything with white tuna and scallions. on nigri sushi, in a roll, or just as sashimi.

also love a good piece of super thinly cut and not-too-chewy octopus. if done right, it's delicious.

Do crunchy rolls even have fish in them?

My faves are burning man, pepper girl, spicy tuna. I love pretty much anything with tuna. Also like salmon and eel.

This is truth. Mr. Oi trained most of the head chefs at all the other sushi restaurants around town.

If you are spending enough money, you can rent the place for a Sunday party.

Oh and to add to the thread: bluefin tuna. I actually like bluefin tuna better than toro.

Real toro is a cut of bluefin, right?

I very much agree with this, but I find bluefin very hard to find in the Baton Rouge are. Do any restaurants routinely cary it?

I'm not so sure... I thought Toro was just fatty meat from REAL big tuna fish, not sure if it has to be bluefin. I maybe wrong.

They won't have it on the menu. I know Oi gets bluefin every once in a while, you just never know when. He will tell you when bluefin is available if you are a regular. You can always ask of course.
