What’s your favorite and/or go-to?

We had a Hot Wok in Scott, but they closed a while back. We need a replacement.

We’ve been getting Magic Wok, in the shopping center on Johnston behind the Mel’s. I thought it was better than Hot Wok and China One.

Mine was Dynasty when I lived there because they delivered until midnight, that was a long time ago and I’m sure it’s not as good as I remember

Ye's cafe in Youngsville, but that is quite the haul for you. Hot Wok on Pinhook if we are in the area.

Wish I could help you find something closer to you, but I don’t know what’s near you.

Saigon Noodles at Ambassador and Congress for good pho.

Blue Basil on Johnston……although Asian, but not exactly Chinese, is very good.

I live close to Panda Express, and that’s my go-to, but too far from you.

A long time ago, Golden China on Congress (later became Smitty’s Wings for a while) was a good sit-down restaurant. Doesn’t help you now, but worth mentioning when Asian restaurants were more sit-down and less fast food.

Blue basil is awesome. We like to go and just eat appetizers especially those lettuce wraps.

Ye's is pretty good, but in Youngsville. Takeout only.

Owned by Bob Lee and his wife Linda. Very solid food and great people. Definitely miss that place, glad to have the memories. Bob closed GC to care for Linda who had cancer. The street behind that location is called Linda Lee, named after Ms. Linda.

Did not know that.

But I would share, not only was GC a restaurant, they had a limo or 2 to rent out. I rented a limo from them for prom in or around 1986.

Great little place that cooks from order. They used to have a small little buffet but most ordered off of the menu.

We tried China Wok yesterday on Waitr. I don’t think we will order from there again.

I’ll try Magic Wok next time. Thanks

I loved Golden China. I also used to love a place close to me, Little China, but it’s been gone for awhile.

Chappy, have you tried Lotus Garden? It’s on the Congress side of the Albertsons shopping center on Ambassador and Congress. It gets good reviews on Trip Advisor and terrible reviews on Yelp, but I used to grab lunch there on occasion because it was a reasonable distance from work. I always got stuff from the buffet, but a co-worker would order from the grill.

Yes, my wife works in the area. We go there sometimes when I’m off for the summer. I’ve never tried the grill, but really want to.
