I'm smiling because DaWabbit and China Doll are still open after all these years.

What happened to that place? I was told that the Messican joint next door got a bit to rowdy for them. Always seemed to be a busy place.

Also, very surprised that nobody mentioned a slice or a calzone from Mo's in Westwego. I don't get there often, but the food is always consistently good.

One more, if you haven't had the wings from Golden Wings near Oakwood Mall, you are greatly missing out. Just avoid the fried rice. The Vietnamese owners cant seem to get it right. Wings are seriously legit though.

Place is a little shady, but then again, you are too. After some wings, you can hit the strip club next door.

I'm guessing they take phone orders. I would most likely get them to go and retreat back to the safe zone.

Westbank strip club? I don't think I've ever had the pleasure. Last time I was at a strip club your wife was there. True story.

Is Tony Mandina's still open in Gretna? It was my favorite Italian growing up. Loved the veal.

Egg rolls at China Doll.

I do not like egg rolls, in general.

I will cross the bridge just for the egg rolls at China Doll.

It's under new management. Scores took it over recently.

Landlords were complaining that the sports bar that had been next door didn't have enough parking, and they wanted higher rent.

Diblasi closed shop at the end of the lease, then within two or three months the sports bar in question went under.

Landlord tried to get them to reopen, but they haven't yet. I think my dad said that they're serving small dishes on certain days near the Gretna farmer's market or something.

That's like an eclipse. I assume she just judged every stripper in the joint?

I think so, if not, they are usually pretty quick on regular days. Owner asked people that had not placed orders for the Super Bowl last year to leave bc he was too busy. Didn't even offer a wait.

Love that shite. So much flavor. I just wish the egg was cooked less.
