You don’t have to be “bothered” to point out hypocrisy

it may be as simple as the spouse wanting to and the other complying rather than causing a ruckus.

I admit to eating the McDonald’s and Popeyes and sometimes Arby’s fish sandwich but with deliberate ignorance to the fact that the fish is about the worst of the worst fish that can be caught and that they contain a decent amount of mercury not to mention the obnoxious fishing techniques used to catch them.

Not a sandwich...

But for fried fish and fast food, you can't beat the fried fish at the Food n Geaux on O'Neal (in BR).

Jimmy John’s has a great tuna sandwich
Overpass merchant groupers sandwich is really good
Mc Donald’s filet a fish has shrunk to such a small sandwich it’s not worth getting anymore

It is surprisingly solid overall. End up stopping there for either a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack at least 1x/week.

I'm an old telephone man, and I've often said that you could eat damn well if you just followed us around. Actually proved that to myself a few months back: Driving back home from Jackson, MS and needed a late lunch. Pulled off I-55 and saw the usual lineup of fast food--Taco Belch, Mickey Ds, etc. I pulled into one of them and happened to see about 6-8 of our trucks parked at a small diner across the street. Place was run-down, but I figured it must be good if my Mississippi brothers were eating there. Ended up getting one of my top 5 burgers ever, along with fries, a legit chocolate malt, and a piece of lemon icebox pie for the road. Don't recall the place's name, but I'll damn sure find it again next time I'm working up that way.

McDonalds Filet O’Fish extremely underrated

If gotten fresh, and Lent is when your chances of getting fresh are the best, the Filet O’Fish is very good.

Would be nice if McDonald’s would try as hard as Chick-fil-A and Canes to have employees that act like they care and to make it not so depressing to go there.

The filet of fish at McDonald’s is tiny, one of those is not nearly enough for a meal and it’s not cheap for the size. Arby’s is a decent lunch worth of fish.
