Fancy/unique/expensive foods you can't stand.....

I'll start.....caviar, ceviche, uncooked sushi, sweetbreads, calf's brains(cervelle de veau). And I have tasted each of these at least once.....things I like include octopus/squid, escargot and cheval.

I’ve never had calf’s brains, but I love all of the others. When it’s warm out it’s hard to beat a good ceviche.

I don’t know if this is considered fancy..

Those fresh sardines I always see people eating on food travel shows in Spain. I just know I wouldn’t like them.



Also don’t like blood sausage. Anything too iron-y tasting. Bleh.

I can understand all but the sweetbreads. If you didn't like them, you haven't tried the right ones. My favorites are from Bayona in New Orleans. I've tried a few others but they never live up to Bayona's dish.
