Lots of great choices. My favorites are Jesse's (just south in Magnolia Springs), The Wash House, and Fairhope Inn.

I thought the Dragonfly Foodbar was pretty cool when I went last summer.

Don't eat at the Grande.

Wash House for dinner

Big Daddy's -out of the way, but worth it

Panini Pete's is good for lunch. Jesse's has a great pecan crusted catfish salad.

- Wash house is always a favorite
- Gumbo Shack was good when I was younger but I haven't been there in probably 8 years... Not sure how it is now with the new place/foodnetwork blowing it up
- Camelia Cafe
- Dragonfly... No shite. Real deal

or just go to the Causeway and get some redneck seafood

Ate at both recently. To be honest, I didn't find the Wash House all that much better than the Grand's dining offerings. Both were pretty average.

Granted. This is Alabama we're talking about. I like that Wash House's menu is a bit more ambitious. Not everyday you have Chateaubriand and a Rothschild Bordeaux on the menu

I'll hang around late for the Grande Sunday Brunch but that's about the best they offer. I'm a Fairhope Inn fan. Tyler Keans place.

A better search function is Google.

In Google's box, type tigerdroppings.com fairhope al restaurant......you don't even need quote marks.

Here are the results.

Tamara's.... Great food and nice place to eat.

Any place that gives away toothbrushes in the bathroom is usually a win

Put site: in front of the URL and near between the words to get only (and all of) the best matches from TD.

Search returns some TD + some other stuff

Search returns only from TD

Had some good fish tacos at Rosie's Grill in Daphne on 98 a few weeks ago. Along i=with a great White Chocolate bread Pudding.

Felix's and the Oyster house on the Causeway have excellent seafood for the area.

I had a good thread on restaurants around the Grand this past summer. I will see if I can find it.

Mrs. Wales travels a lot for work and she stays at Marriott properties so we use the points to go on weekend getaways over there. Great place.
