Beside Maison Lacour, looking for something closer to the Garden District area. TIA

Ruth’s Chris is where I had my first experience with escargot back in the late 1990’s. Baked in Garlic butter is what I remember. If anyone has this recipe I would be much appreciated as I cannot find it and Ruth’s does not serve it this way anymore.

Mine was at the original Village in, what I guess would have been, the late 70s/early 80s.

I still remember their Marinara...still the best I've ever had.

Drive 50 miles south and your options change dramatically.

Asking for an older crowd, they can’t travel easily and bedtime is about 8 I would guess. Chris’ was their go to but they took it off the menu 4 years ago.

Most of it's canned anyway. Only one escargot farm in the entire US.
Just go to the grocery store and get the good can.

And why are we avoiding Maison Lacour, exactly?

They don’t want to drive there. That’s all.
