Had both and liked them both ways, but prefer no egg white. Don’t need the froth or the thick texture.

The only drink I drink with egg white is the Ramos Gin Fizz.

Much better with egg white when the drink is properly made

Whiskey sour without egg white = Reggie’s.. RIP

Whiskey sour made properly by someone that cares and ordered by someone not inside Reggie’s = egg white 100% of the time.

Want to downvote? Go order an amaretto sour or a Jack & coke. Without the egg white, the sour means the same as it does with amaretto. Some nasty crap out of the bar gun. Sour mix is for kids and Mountain Dew drinkers.

Egg white, 2 oz bourbon, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, 3/4 oz simple syrup, 2 dashes of bitters. Dry shake without ice for 45-60 seconds, then add ice and lightly shake and pour over ice

I spent a lot of time in Reggie’s and can’t recall anyone ever ordering a whiskey sour

This is my go to recipe as well. After I pour, I top with a couple dashes of angostura and drop in a luxardo

We garnish with a luxardo on a skewer, but no additional bitters on top
