This stuff is amazing. Adds a ton of flavor to your boring old cold cut sandwich.

I use it on my leftover Thanksgiving turkey and bacon on rye sandwiches. I really love the stuff. I also use it in the gelatin marshmallow fruit thing I make for TG. It's my grandmother's recipe and I admit to all of you that I love the stuff. The Durkee's gives it a unique flavor. Reminds me of eating at her house. (That would be at the plantation house, Mr. Balls, where I slopped pigs, picked cotton and collected eggs for breakfast in addition to watching the cattle branding and sheep sheering.)

Now I'm gonna have to buy some and try it. Most supermarkets?

Pretty much anywhere. I haven't eaten it in awhile but as kids at one friends house it was all they ever ate so that was my introduction. It's pretty good and I might grab some myself now.

I see it everywhere, Darla. It's sort of got a hint of Dijon flavor. I like it with turkey and ham.

Slight hijack... When I was a kid(dinosaurs roamed the earth)my favorite aunt made a cheese dip made with Durkees. Anyone heard of it or have the recipe? And is Durkees available in mainstream groceries? I haven't seen it in years.

Nothing special IMO.. Tastes like mustard mixed with mayo. My mom uses it on these baked ham and cheese finger sandwiches with poppy seeds and onions on top, though, and they come out pretty awesome

Durkee Famous Sauce Clone

I haven't tried it but this looks easy enough if you can't find the real stuff in stores.

1/2 cup cold water
4 tablespoons cornstarch
2/3 cup malt vinegar
2 tablespoons salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
4 tablespoons prepared mustard (French's preferred)
4 tablespoons butter, cut into tiny bits

I add about a tablespoonful to a batch of my pimento cheese.
