Malcolm Reed's AP seasoning is 4 parts salt, 2 parts garlic powder, one part black pepper. Here he is talking about different rubs and how to make them.

Salt x2
Pepper x1
Garlic powder x 1/2
Onion x 1/8
Perfect on most items.

Basic seasoning that can be added to I.e. brown sugar, paprika, etc.

I use this all the time when cooking most things. You can't go wrong with it.

My go to taco dry seasoning is

Kosher salt
Chili powder
Cumin
Garlic powder

You can either throw it on a steak and sear or you can throw it in some oil and like juice to marinade if you wanna go that direction

Amazing ribs dot com has some good rub recipes, I modify most of them. I buy spices in bulk online.
